Chernihiv (Ukrainian: ×åðí³ã³â,

Chernigov) is a historic city in
northern Ukraine. It is the
capital of the Chernihiv Oblast
(province), as well as the
administrative center of the
surrounding Chernihivskyi Raion
(district) within the oblast.
